Every maintenance technician knows to shut off the power, lock the circuit breaker panel, and hang a tag on it, but this isn’t enough. OSHA instructs maintenance personnel to lockout, tagout, and control hazardous energy. Some don’t know how to take this step, which is different for every machine.
