DE-STA-CO appoints new president

DE-STA-CO, a manufacturer of robotic tooling, workholding, and flexible industrial automation systems in Auburn Hills, Mich., has appointed John Podczerwinski to the position of president.

For more than three years, Podczerwinski has led VSG, North and South Americas, a Dover Company, as vice president and general manager. In addition, he served as project manager for the acquisition and integration of Hanmecson (now VSG Asia), Dover's first acquisition of a Chinese company. Before joining VSG, he held positions as general manager, CFO, and VP of human resources for Schnadig Corp., a Chicago-based furniture manufacturer.

Podczerwinski, a CPA, holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Dayton and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
