Chicago Metal Fabricators adds 1,500-ton press brake

Chicago Metal Fabricators has added an Accurpress 1,500-ton press brake to its factory floor for heavy-duty metal forming

The 5-axis, CNC press brake has a bed length of 30 ft., a throat depth of 22 in., and a distance between housings of 26 ft. The company now has two press brakes on its factory floor. With more space between its housings, the company can create a solid part that is almost 6 ft. larger than work the other unit had been producing.

The firm specializes in fabricating heavy components and large assemblies from 16-ga. to 3-in. plate.
