Alcoa announces a price increase on drawn seamless tubing

Alcoa Engineered Aerospace Products announced Monday that it will increase prices for soft and hard alloy drawn tube by 4-8%, depending on the type of tube, starting August 1, 2004.

The company says existing quote pricing will be honored until the date of quote expiration. Any changes for increased volume on existing orders will be at the new prices. The price increase will not apply to existing agreements or firm metal contracts; however, all new pricing agreements will be subject to increased pricing.
