Indiana Pickling and Processing to complete $7 million capitalization project

Feralloy Corp. has announced that Indiana Pickling and Processing (IPPC), Portage, Ind., its joint venture with Signode Corp., will complete a $7 million capitalization project in summer 2013. The last phase of the investment will make IPPC fully capable to pickle coils up to 0.75 by 72 in. A36 grade. Precleaning and leveling capabilities are being added.

As part of the project, IPPC also invested in a new building to store 30,000 tons of material. The company will have the capacity to offer a storage-pickling combination service for customers that buy large steel coil lots from steel mills located in the Midwest.
