The Material Works, SES partner to supply EPS systems to steel mills

The Material Works Ltd., Red Bud, Ill., has designated SES LLC, Alliance, Ohio, as the newest authorized supplier of environmentally friendly pickling lines incorporating patented Eco Pickled Surface (EPS) technology. SES will design and build automated EPS pickling lines for both integrated and mini-mills around the world under a nonexclusive license from TMW.

SES is a supplier of custom-engineered equipment and systems for the primary metals industry, specializing in complex material handling and multistage processing systems incorporating the control and diagnostic monitoring technology of its Canadian subsidiary, SES Automation of Toronto.

The EPS process removes oxide from the surface of hot-rolled steel, imparting a clean, uniform surface, without the use of hazardous substances.
