Grainger to build Northeast distribution center

Chicago-based Grainger, a supplier of MRO products serving businesses and institutions, has purchased 96 acres of land in Bordentown Township, N.J., with plans to build a 1.3 million-sq.-ft. distribution center.

When the facility is up and running in 2016, the company expects to employ more than 400 people, primarily in warehouse operations. The company currently operates 11 locations in New Jersey, including 10 branches throughout the state and a distribution center in Robbinsville.
