Flux-cored welding wires suitable for HSLA steel applications

Hobart Brothers offers two gas-shielded, flux-cored welding wires: Tri-Mark® TM-811N1 and TM-811N2. With their low-temperature impact strengths, the wires are suitable for petrochemical applications and the fabrication of mining and earthmoving equipment (TM-811N1), along with shipbuilding, offshore drilling rigs, and other HSLA steel applications (TM-811N2). The wires also are suitable for welding on weathering steels that do not require immediate color match.

To promote good Charpy V-notch impact values at low temperature, the TM-811N1 welding wire offers a weld deposit of 1 percent nickel, and the TM-811N2 wire offers a weld deposit with 2 percent nickel. Additionally, the wires provide a stable arc and flat bead profile, as well as low spatter levels and fast-freezing slag.

The wires are suitable for single- and multipass applications using either 75 percent argon/25 percent CO2 or 100 percent CO2. They are available in standard diameters of 0.045-, 0.052-, and 0.0625-in. and in multiple packaging styles and weights.
