Power source supplies up to 600 amps of welding current

Fronius has introduced the TPS 600i. The power source can supply up to 600 amps of welding current at a welding voltage of 44 V and a 60 percent duty cycle. The unit is suitable for use in mechanized and robot-assisted welding within the heavy steel construction and mechanical engineering sectors, as well as in applications that require working with a single-wire process and a high deposition rate.

The CU 1400i Pro cooling unit, adapted to the power source, can disperse the thermal load typical of high-performance welding. It features a sealless design and the use of a brushless, wear-free pump motor. With the cooling system, MTW 700i welding torch for manual and automated welding returns to room temperature in a few moments after welding is completed.
