Tungsten electrodes enhanced

Diamond Ground Products has introduced Cryo-T tungsten electrodes.

The thoriated tungsten is cryogenically treated—cooled with nitrogen gas to -300 degrees and then slowly reheated to room temperature. According to the manufacturer, this process produces a more dense structure, increases surface area, and provides increased stress relief and dimensional stability. This produces longer tip life and more consistent welds.
