Controlled flare-end brushes trimmed to remove breakage-prone portions

Weiler Corp.'s controlled flare-end brushes feature a trimmed, crimped-wire fill to help make brushing action more effective and increase durability for cleaning fillet welds and into corners, bevels, channels, and slots.

The patented design nearly eliminates rapid filament fatigue and wire breakage when using high-speed air tools to clean and prep hard-to-reach areas. The trim of the brush removes the most breakage-prone portions of the wire fill in a standard end brush and also results in a shape that can be maneuvered into corners and against fillets.

The brushes are available in steel wire for use on carbon steel and other materials, and stainless steel wire for use on corrosion-resistant alloys, aluminum, and other nonferrous metals. They come in diameters from 0.5 to 1 in. and 0.0104-, 0.014-, and 0.020-in. wire sizes.
