Right-angle vacuum disk sander removes material from nonferrous surfaces

Dynabrade Inc. has introduced a 5-in.-dia. vacuum disk sander for coatings removal. The tool features a 1.3-HP air motor for controlled sanding. Its vacuum shroud uses brushes to capture airborne contaminants and divert dust and debris to the vacuum source.

The 12,000-RPM sander removes material on nonferrous surfaces such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, and painted aluminum.

The sander includes a 5-in.-dia. backing pad for use with abrasive disks. The tool also features an insulated handle, a side handle for two-hand operation, and a safety-lock throttle lever to prevent accidental start-up. The unit is ready for connection to external or central vacuum systems.
