Shotblast system descales, cleans structural shapes before, after fabrication

Wheelabrator structural steel shotblast cleaning systems are designed for descaling and cleaning structural shapes before or after fabrication. The model 2436 uses Autoblast(R) wheels and has a 24-in.-wide by 36-in.-high cleaning envelope and a variable-speed roll conveyor.

The systems use recyclable steel abrasive. The blast chamber features high manganese welded construction for wear resistance when directly impacted by steel shot abrasive. The addition of replaceable inline wear plates of cast alloy material provides extra cabinet protection.

With cleaned abrasive from the recycling system, the wheels direct a uniform abrasive blast pattern against the work surface to clean all exposed areas. Certain models can be installed at floor level to provide a compact, pitless footprint for small to medium-sized facilities.
