Zinc phosphate coating suitable for applications up to 1,400 degrees F
The MICROLOK® MZN finish from Birchwood Technologies is a fine-grained zinc phosphate coating for corrosion protection of iron and steel components. It provides protection up to 1,400 degrees F for high-heat applications such as brake components.
The patented coating is a 20-min. process that requires five steps for processing. It can be applied at 140 to 160 degrees F with no boiling or spattering. Bath maintenance requires a simple titration procedure to monitor the concentration.
The zinc phosphate finish complies with MIL-DTL-16232G, Type Z, Classes 1, 2, and 3.
