2-D laser uses fiber function to cut stainless steel up to 1 in. thick

TRUMPF Inc.'s TruLaser 5030 fiber, a 2-D laser cutting machine with a 5-kW, solid-state laser, uses the manufacturer's new BrightLine fiber function to cut stainless steel up to 1-in. thick. The fiber enables the laser to produce small holes and tight contours in thick sheet metal while boosting cut quality and productivity in mild steel from 0.5 to 1 in. thick.

The system can cut all standard material types and thicknesses.
