Laser cutting system’s speed, power, and assist gas pressure regulated in real time

Sirius 3015 Plus 4 kW, an automation-ready flying-optics laser cutting system from LVD, is designed to process parts at optimal speeds. The machine can perform silk cutting on stainless to provide a smooth finish.

Integrated into the machine is Automatic Laser Cutting (ALC), which uses dynamic feedback to monitor and regulate laser power, speed, and assist gas pressure in real time during the cutting process. It does not rely on predefined parameters but measures and adapts in-process for improved cutting results. The technology is suitable for processing thick materials in an unattended environment.

The system can be equipped with an automatic nozzle changer. As materials and thicknesses change throughout the production day, the machine selects the right nozzle for each job. Requiring no operator intervention and with available storage of up to 10 nozzles, the nozzle changer performs nozzle changes quickly, including cleaning the nozzle and checking the nozzle alignment.
