Milling cutters designed to deliver reduced cutting force on titanium

The KSRM™ line of milling cutters from Kennametal are engineered for titanium and stainless steel applications. Their design enables pocketing, profiling, ramping, and plunging with up to 0.04 in. fz.

The inserts offer up to eight indexable positions. They are designed with a high positive rake angle and strong cutting edges to reduce cutting forces when machining titanium. The inserts are available in 0.47 and 0.63 in. dia. for face mills and screw-on, Weldon®, and cylindrical end mills. These diameters are offered in SGE style for medium and heavy milling tasks and ELE style for use at low cutting forces and to prevent edge buildup.

A 0.79-in.-dia. insert also is available for compatible KSRM face mill models. It comes in ELF style for low cutting forces and to prevent edge buildup, as well as SGF and SHF styles for general-purpose and heavy-duty roughing applications.
