Plasma cutters added to cost estimating software library

MTI Systems has added high-definition plasma cutting machines to its Costimator® cost estimating software library, offering updates and laser cost-saving comparison options. The software now includes Hypertherm Hy-definition and Hy-performance plasma cutters in its library of 3,500 workcenters.

The software includes thousands of manufacturing datasets such as speeds, feeds, and cost models.

CNC plasma cutting accommodates extreme tolerances and is suitable for cutting thick materials. No preheating is required, and no explosive or highly volatile gases are used.
