Retrofit torch, consumable line expanded

Hypertherm has expanded its line of Duramax™ retrofit torches and consumables. The torches now are approved for use on the company's Powermax1650®, and a new straight torch joins the previously released 75-degree hand torch and convertible machine torch. The straight torch, designed for hand-held cutting, simplifies cutting and gouging in hard-to-reach areas.

Hypertherm reports that it is the only plasma manufacturer in the world to offer a straight, hand-held plasma torch.

All torches in the line feature fiber-reinforced handles to withstand impact, as well as patent-pending Spring Start™ technology that eliminates moving parts within the torch. They incorporate Conical Flow™ nozzle and spring electrode technology to help extend consumable life.

The retrofit torches come with an Easy Torch Removal (ETR) connection for quick upgrades.
