Lightweight, cordless tools designed for above-average operating time

TRUMPF Inc. has added new models to its TruTool line of compact, lightweight, lithium-ion cordless power tools: the PN 130 profile nibbler, S 160 and S 114 shears, and C 160 cutting shears.
The battery-optimized aluminum gear head is designed for the low voltage of the battery used in the cordless tools to help achieve above-average operating time. For all the new cordless power tools, the manufacturer uses 10.8 lithium-ion battery technology for the standard 2-Ah battery and optional 4-Ah battery. This enables users to work for extended periods of time without charging the battery.
Individual electrical cell monitoring in the battery unit and charger protect the battery from overload, overheating, and deep discharge while helping to ensure long run time and efficiency. The standard 2-Ah battery reaches an 80 percent charge in 15 min. or a full charge in 30 min.
Colored LEDs notify the user when the battery power is running low. A removable belt clip, which can be attached to the side of the motor, enables the user to hang the tool from a belt or pants pocket.
