Holders for thick-turret punch presses accommodate unlimited number of forming tool inserts

Mate Precision Tooling has introduced ULTRAFORM® FX™ and XT™ holders, which provide interchangeability with the company's ULTRAFORM insert system. The holders help reduce complexity for turret punch presses with precise stroke control and for machine users who infrequently use or don't want length adjustment.

The FX holder allows the use of an unlimited number of forming tool inserts with one holder. It is suitable for thick-turret presses with precision stroke control, including Amada EM and Finn-Power eMachine turret punch presses. The fixed-length forming toolholder is available in B through E stations and features lubrication grooves and multiple angle settings.

For thick-turret presses without precise stroke control or situations in which form tooling changes are desired but tool length adjustment is seldom needed, the XT holder is available in B through E stations. Length adjustment is achieved by loosening the head cap and rotating the punch to the desired length. Grooved guides help enhance lubrication, and multiple angle settings add flexibility.
