Sheet marking system fits into turret punch press
Wilson Tool Intl. has released SmartMark®, which the company says is the first ink-jet sheet marking system that fits into a turret punch press.
The ink-jet printer can be loaded directly into the C station of most thick-turret machines. Using a combination of the company’s SmartMark Writer software and CNC programming, fabricators can program the printer to mark parts with alphanumeric text, lines, time stamps, or bar codes. Users can mark part numbers, descriptions, and assembly and part handling instructions to help reduce production errors.
Each marking kit includes a printer, the software, a wireless router, one ink cartridge, two batteries, and a battery charger.
