- Safety
The M4000 standard multiple light beam safety device from Sick Inc. offers mounting flexibility via three groove housing and swivel mount end caps. It protects a perimeter up to 70 m with beam spacing of 300, 400, 450, 500, and 600 mm.
The safety device is suitable for guarding robot cells, manufacturing cells, and fence openings. Corner mirrors enable the unit to protect up to four-sided applications such as an entire robot cell. The unit enables fast installation and simplified commissioning with no PC required, the company reports. The integrated LED status indicator mounted on the end cap is visible from any direction.
The unit can be directly linked to the AS-Interface Safety-At-Work bus via an integrated interface. An integrated laser alignment function enables quick alignment.
