Band saw has double swivel head with angle scale

Hyd-Mech Group Ltd. has introduced the S 20DS double-mitering band saw. With a double swivel head and built-in stops for 90-, 45-, and 30-degree positions, the saw reduces setup and material handling times, the company says.

The saw incorporates an angle scale. A 1-in. blade driven by a 3-HP direct-drive motor (VFD) with infinitely variable blade speed provides cutting for light- to medium-duty applications. A cast-iron head supported by a rigid pivot point and a weight of 2,370 lbs. reduce and absorb vibration.

The saw has a vise system that can be positioned to slide either on the left or right side of the head and a mobile control panel.
