Cold saw designed for high-volume sawing of steel tubes

Pat Mooney Saws offers the Matic 315 CM 1B fully automatic circular cold saw designed for high-volume sawing of steel tubes. The machine comes standard with an automatic loading system that includes an automatic bundle loader capable of running long production runs.

A heavy-duty pivoting saw head is gear-driven to provide optimal torque. The material feed system and saw head allow the machine to achieve production rates up to 1,000 parts/hr.

The saw features horizontal vises that clamp the part on both sides of the saw blade to ensure a clean, burr-free cut. Horizontal vises are fixed on both sides of the saw head. Clamping pressure is adjustable so the pressure can be lowered when sawing very thin-wall tubes, and vise clamping pressure is controlled independently.

The material infeed system is equipped with two pressure rollers clamped in the material on an angle. The rollers are adjustable based on material size and shape. Each pressure roller is equipped with a pneumatic cylinder and controlled independently. The amount of pressure applied is adjustable, so it can be lowered for thin-wall tubes.
