Dry-cutting miter saw makes 4-in.-deep cuts

CS Unitec has introduced a portable, dry-cutting miter saw for steel, stainless steel, and other materials. The model 9410 ND is the only metal cutting machine on the market with stepless adjustments from -45 to +45 degrees, according to the manufacturer.

The 10-in. tungsten carbide-tipped (TCT) saw blade dry-cuts metal without the need for lubrication or manual deburring. The cutting table includes a three-step, quick-release clamping system for securing the workpiece. The 42-lb. unit has a 13-amp motor to deliver 1,600 RPM.

With a 4-in. depth of cut at 90 degrees, the saw is suitable for cutting tube and profiles. Additionally, it dry-cuts aluminum, nonferrous metals, plastics, and composite materials. Fine cuts are produced in soft and sensitive materials.

A 60-teeth TCT saw blade is supplied standard for mild steel and aluminum. A 66-teeth blade is available for use on stainless steel and hard metals.
