RFID module eliminates manual input to gas equipment

Witt-Gasetechnik offers an RFID module that can be retrofitted to gas mixers, gas analyzers, and leak-testing equipment. The module eliminates manual input by touchscreens, keys, and controllers and replaces bar code readers.

The module can be used on all equipment that is fitted with the company’s digital gas control center. Its corresponding tags are located as miniature electronic circuits in employees’ ID cards. The user holds his ID card in the vicinity of the device to log in automatically. If the production batch changes, only the ID card of the new product has to be held in front of the device, and it is reprogrammed immediately.
