Welding gas cylinder blast system designed for fast processing

Viking Blast & Wash Systems has released its redesigned GC111-A welding gas cylinder shotblaster. This unit uses the PowerMax center-fed blast wheel for fast processing and an optimized impact angle to the foot ring of acetylene bottles and the concave ends of oxygen cylinders.

It incorporates a pneumatic safety latch on the door, as well as redundant manual door latches for maintenance. Pneumatic valves help ensure smooth action on the door, loader, and cylinder-eject process.

The cabinet is made of AR 500 plate and reinforced with structural steel. For higher-volume units, an optional package offers greater wear life with replaceable bolt-on liners. With this new design, the 10-HP blast wheel achieves a 60 percent increase in production, states the company.
