Hydraulic presses introduced

Greenerd Press & Machine Co. Inc. has introduced a series of hydraulic presses for hot and cold forging. Applications include automotive and truck, aerospace, agricultural, industrial, hardware and tools, and surgical equipment.

Produced by Tianjin Tianduan Press Co. in China, the presses can be built to specification up to 10,000-ton capacity and are designed for high-speed runs to maintain rapid cycling of the press ram. The presses include autoload and -unload mechanical arms.

A multihit cycle feature allows programming for multiple hits of an individual blank to maximize forged part production. Pit-mounted press beds keep the press bolsters at a suitable height for operators. The touchscreen operator panel offers capacity for hundreds of programs in the press control, enabling quick program change and consistent part production, the company reports.
