Servo roll feed suitable for staggered feeding narrow-width coil

Coe Press Equipment has developed a new series of zigzag servo roll feeds for staggered feeding applications of narrow-width coil.

The roll feeds process coil widths from 12 to 30 in. and thicknesses of 0.020 to 0.187 in. The press-mounted units provide processing speeds of 576 FPM and acceleration rates of 70 FPS. The 4- to 12-in. Y-axis shuttle travel adds processing versatility required for one-out or multiple-out applications, according to the manufacturer. The ServoMaster 3 dual-axis controller with multiple-out programs allows for the calculation and setup of all machine parameters.

Other features include a rigid machined tie bar construction for precise assembly; precision cluster gearing for driving the upper feed roll; air-operated, high-speed pilot pin release mechanism; funneled stock path for material threading; and a four-roll catenary section for proper material support.
