Authoring software added to flexible gauge

Origin Intl. Inc. offers a customized Renishaw Equator™ flexible gauge that includes Origin's Equator authoring software. The software module allows users to create part programs on their existing CMMs from measuring the master part.

Using the part program and measured results file, the software creates two files used on the gauge. One file is a part program converted from the user’s inspection software package to the format needed by the gauge, and the other is a calibration file generated from the measured results. After measurement of the part, the software allows nearly immediate use of the gauge.
