Hand-held monitor reads to 10 PPM for welding purging

Huntingdon Fusion Techniques offers the PurgEye® 200 Weld Purge Monitor® for the process industries. The hand-held, battery-powered monitor reads to 10 PPM. It contains an internal electromechanical pump for drawing samples of gas automatically over the sensor before discharging it to atmosphere.

The lifetime sensor eliminates the need for changing cells once every year or so, subject to the type of usage the “wet” cells receive, reports the manufacturer. The unit can give an alarm signal to show when the purge gas level is within or outside the preset range.
