Clamping system designed for orbital welding
The OrbiLine internal clamping system from Orbimatic is designed to facilitate well-aligned welded joints on tubular components.
The system uses an internal clamping mandrel with individual fingers, which, when expanded, automatically align the parts being welded. The clamping head incorporates a series of holes that distribute a backing gas to the weld joint area.
When the welding cycle is completed, the clamp is released and returned to its original size for extraction.
