End facing machines finish 3 -m to 114.3-mm-OD tubes
Orbimatic GmbH now offers tube end facing machines. The RPG 1.5 can be used for tubes 3 mm to 38.1 mm OD, and the RPG for tubes 25.4 mm to 114.3 mm OD.
The ergonomically designed machines use collet sets to clamp the tube on the OD. A lathe-type cutter then is rotated and introduced to the tube end on a micrometer feed system for machining it square to precise specifications.
The machines come in a sturdy carrying case, and a bench mount stand is provided.
