End prep tool provides instant attach, release

The Ground MILLHOG® air clamp welding end prep tool from Esco Tool features air-actuated clamping, which provides instant attach-and-release to the tube ID for improving tube sheet facing productivity.

Developed for repetitive end preps on the same size tube, this lightweight tool can bevel, face, and bore in one operation with +0.002-in. accuracy. The unit is suitable for tubes from 0.5 in. ID to 2.25 in. OD and has a steel housing with an integral radial-thrust ball bearing. It uses TiN-coated cutter blades to produce smooth, continuous chip.

The tool is sealed to permit use in any orientation, runs on 90-PSI air, is self-centering, torque-free, and provides chatter-free operation.
