Pipe processing system handles two bundles at once

A pipe processing system from transfluid Maschinenbau GmbH fabricates mattress frame support components from square pipe automatically. The user programs the number of beds needed and their width, and the machine fabricates the components for each bed in a one-piece-flow process.

The system can be loaded with two bundles of pipes. These are automatically sorted and sheared with knives, which creates no burrs. The pipe parts then are fed into a double-headed bending machine, which makes two bends at the same time.

The machine can be installed next to downstream processes, so that, for instance, when the downstream welding robot retrieves the desired geometry, the corresponding component is available in just a few seconds for welding.
