Bridge-style waterjet machine cuts complex parts from advanced, traditional materials

- Waterjet Cutting
OMAX® offers the 60120 JetMachining® Center with EnduroMAX® pump, Tilt-A-Jet® cutting head, and rotary axis. Suitable for a variety of production runs across a number of industry segments, the bridge-style waterjet machine can cut complex parts from a variety of materials, including exotic alloys, traditional metals, and advanced composites. It accommodates components up to 5 by 10 ft. in size.
Intelli-MAX® software, which runs on the Windows® operating system, calculates the velocity of a tool path at more than 2,000 points per inch, allowing for complete control over the motion of an abrasive waterjet. The latest software supports up to 6 axes of coordinated motion.
Offered in a variety of horsepower options, the pump is designed to deliver more than 85 percent of the power to the cutting nozzle. The cutting head automatically calculates and adjusts the angle of the nozzle to remove the natural taper from the finished part by transferring it to the scrap part of the material. The rotary axis, capable of continuous rotary motion while cutting, provides expanded 3-D cutting capabilities.
