Waterjet cutting system designed for distortion-free contour cutting

Knuth Machine Tools USA offers the Hydro-Jet Eco 0615 S waterjet cutting system. According to the company, the compact system provides distortion-free contour cutting on almost any type of material, including coated and uncoated metals, aluminum, copper, and stainless steel.

Equipped with a software package for programming on an integrated PC control with GUI, the machine uses a cold cutting process that eliminates thermal stress at the cut edges and helps ensure that the material structure is not altered because there is never any direct contact pressure applied to the cut material.

The machine has a working area of 60 by 24 in. and positioning accuracy on the X and Y axes of ±0.002 in./ft. Maximum feed speed is 160 IPM, and operating pressure is 40,000 PSI. The machine comes with a 10-HP pump and generates almost no cutting or grinding dust and no chips, smoke, or toxic fumes during the production process.
