Waterjet intensifier pump produces up to 3 GPM of ultrahigh-pressure water

Jet Edge Inc. has introduced the iP60-150, a 150-HP, 60,000-PSI waterjet intensifier pump. It can produce up to 3 GPM of ultrahigh-pressure water for precision waterjet cutting and UHP surface preparation applications. It supports orifices up to 0.025 in. and features dual intensifier systems.

The pump features a kidney-loop hydraulic cooling and filtration system, an anticorrosive coating on the hydraulic reservoir interior, easy-to-remove lift-off covers, and touchscreen controls. The pump's motor drive assembly is mounted on an isolation system to help reduce noise and vibration.

The tie-rod design has no threaded cylinder, no threaded end caps, and no threaded hydraulic cylinder, which helps minimize the risk of cracking. The hydraulic accumulators help reduce wear on the hydraulic pump, and the hydraulic center section incorporates high duty cycle-rated piston seal and wear rings. Attenuators help smooth pressure fluctuations and deliver a constant and steady stream of UHP water to the cutting tool.
