Waterjet system suitable for metal service centers, job shops

OMAX® Corp. offers the MAXIEM®1515 JetMachining® center. It is suitable for use in fabrication shops, metal service centers, trade schools, and job shops. With cutting travels from 2.6 by 2.6 in. to 53.5 by 13.5 in., the machine cuts components from a variety of materials.

The waterjet system is equipped with the company’s Intelli-TRAX® linear-drive system, which features brushless servomotors, integrated servo drives, and linear encoders that provide constant and continuous feedback on the actual cutting head position.

The unit’s 50,000-PSI, direct-drive pump includes variable-frequency drive (VFD) technology that regulates the electricity input to the motor to help reduce overall energy costs.
