Beckwood names quality engineer
Beckwood Press Co., St. Louis, a manufacturer of custom hydraulic and servo-electric presses, automation systems, and forming equipment, has hired Yolonda “Cotton” Smith as quality engineer to support the company’s continuous improvement initiatives.
She has more than 23 years of experience in quality roles, having previously served as senior quality engineer, quality manager, and ISO coordinator for several manufacturing companies in the automotive, rubber, plastics, and machining industries. She holds a bachelor’s degree in ecology and systematics from the University of Northern Iowa, seven quality-focused certifications from the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), and an ISO 9001:2008 Supplier Auditor Certification from Plexus Intl.
