SafanDarley delivers servo-electronic press brake to Harris Fabrication

Netherlands-based SafanDarley, with a U.S. plant in Annapolis Junction, Md., has sold an E-Brake 200T servo-electronic press brake to Harris Fabrication, Topeka, Kan.

According to the press brake manufacturer, cycle times on the machine are far shorter than on conventional press brakes because of the active safety light guard system and the acceleration of the servomotors. In addition, the servo-electronic technology distributes forces evenly through a roller drive system in the upper beam. The machine uses energy only when the top beam is moving.

The press brake is equipped with E-Control EC20 software to facilitate numeric and 2-D graphical programming. Operators can draw a complete product using the touchscreen and then automatically generate a bending program.
