AZZ Inc. acquires Rogers Brothers Co.

AZZ Inc., a Fort Worth, Texas-based provider of metal coatings services, welding systems, specialty electrical equipment, and highly engineered services to the power generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial markets, has acquired all the assets and outstanding shares of Rogers Brothers Co., a privately held provider of galvanizing services based in Rockford, Ill.

Located on a 2.7-acre site, the operations include a 13,000-sq.-ft. plant and 30,000 sq. ft. of office warehouse, along with three kettles, galvanizing centrifuges, and other equipment used for hot-dip galvanizing. Rogers Brothers specializes in galvanizing of small parts, including fasteners, washers, and castings. It also can galvanize light- to medium-weight structure members and tubular fabrications. Going forward, the facility will operate as AZZ Galvanizing – Rockford.

The acquisition increases AZZ’s network of hot-dip galvanizing plants to 45 sites in the U.S. and Canada.
