Gatto Industrial Platers launches large-parts zinc electroplating line

Gatto Industrial Platers Inc., Chicago, has launched its new large-parts zinc electroplating line. The new line’s tanks, which are 4 ft. wide, 7.5 ft. deep, and 27 ft. long, can accommodate parts weighing up to 8,000 lbs. According to the company, it is the largest zinc electroplating line in North America.

The line has increased the company’s plating capacity by 30 to 40 percent, allowing it to turn around zinc plating of large parts in as little as 72 hours. Large parts can be plated in whole, without being designed in sections. The line is suitable for plating long hydraulic tubing, large frames, threaded rod, large frames and chassis, large machined parts, hex shafts, and large weldments.
