Lapham-Hickey Steel acquires SMC Metal Fabricators
Lapham-Hickey Steel has announced its acquisition of SMC Metal Fabricators, a metal fabricator with 115,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space located next door to Lapham-Hickey’s two existing Oshkosh, Wis., facilities. SMC’s capabilities include laser cutting, forming, welding, powder coat painting, and assembly.
Lapham-Hickey Steel is a fourth-generation, family-owned and -operated carbon steel service center based in Bedford Park, Ill. It operates 12 locations in the Midwest, East Coast, and Southeast, supplying slit coil, sheet, plate, bars, tubing, and fabricated products.
