Four manufacturing associations announce second National Reshoring Award
- November 2, 2018

The Association For Manufacturing Technology (AMT) and National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA) have joined inaugural sponsors the Reshoring Initiative and Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) to sponsor the second National Metalworking Reshoring Award. The award recognizes companies that have successfully reshored products, parts, or tooling made primarily by metal forming, fabricating, casting, machining, or additive manufacturing.
To be eligible for the award, the work must have been reshored between Jan. 1, 2013, and Dec. 31, 2018, from outside North America to North America. Applications must be submitted by Jan. 31, 2019. To view award details and enter to win, visit www.amtonline.org/reshoringaward.
“In 2017 about 170,000 U.S. manufacturing jobs were announced to come back from offshore, up 2,800 percent from 2010,” said Harry Moser, founder and president of the Reshoring Initiative. “We anticipate that this award will motivate more companies to re-evaluate their offshoring and see that it is often more profitable to produce or source domestically. We also hope that other associations will choose to support similar awards to show that their industries are now successfully reshoring.”
