Bob Miller

Postle Industries has announced that Bob Miller, who served as a materials engineer there for the past 19 years, has died.

Miller grew up in Connecticut and was an Eagle Scout. After serving six years in the U.S. Navy, he earned a materials engineering degree from the University of Bridgeport and made his career in metallurgy, hardfacing, and wear. He spent 14 years at Teledyne McKay as an R&D engineer and later joined Tricon Metals and Services as head of overlay products. After launching a consulting business, Miller joined Postle Industries in 2000. He was an active presenter on metallurgy and how it relates to hardfacing and wear, and he produced Hardfacing and Hardbanding Academy videos and presentations.
