Samuel announces board chairman’s retirement
Samuel, Son & Co. Ltd. (SSCL), Mississauga, Ont., has announced the retirement of Mark Samuel as chairman of the board, effective Aug. 27, 2019, following 13 years of service in the role. John Caldwell, currently lead director, will become the new chairman.
Samuel, who joined the company in 1986 and served as president, CEO, and chairman of Samuel Manu-Tech Inc. before being named chairman of SSCL in 2006, will continue to serve on the board.
SSCL is a family-owned and -operated, integrated network of metal manufacturing, processing, and distribution divisions providing access to metals, industrial products, and value-added services.
