Modular production welding system suitable for repetitive, nonorbital custom applications

The Arc Machines model 2 weld head is a modular, configurable tool for repetitive, nonorbital custom applications. Mounted to a side beam, boom, or positioning carriage, it is used in production applications requiring heavy-duty production welding, such as component and vessel manufacturing.
The weld head's building-block approach uses a series of standardized motion stages for functions such as AVC, torch oscillation, onboard wire feeder, and travel. Up to eight axes of movement can be integrated into a welding system and controlled by the model 415 power supply, including positioners, rotators, side beams, welding lathes, and seamers.
The weld head also can be equipped with general and specialized welding torches, including hot wire and remote arc-viewing systems. The company's narrow-gap, hot-wire GTAW torch configuration can yield close to GMAW deposition rates with GTAW weld quality, the manufacturer states.
