Software simulates progressive die stamping

AutoForm Eng. has introduced AutoForm-ProgSim software for the simulation of progressive dies for users of Cimatron. It simulates the entire process, including drawing, flanging, forming, and trimming operations, as well as springback evaluation.

Once they define the tool geometry in Cimatron, users can exportethe design to the simulation software, which simulates the entire stamping process and validates the results. Optimized trim lines and springback results can be exported back to Cimatron for tool adaptations.
